國防部指出，國軍今日執行宜蘭南澳、花蓮秀林、萬榮、豐濱、卓溪等5處預防性撤離419員民眾；另空軍今日派遣C-130運輸機5架次，運送臺電工程人員25人、工程車6輛、鏈鋸100具至金門地區協助災後復原任務。此外，為因應金防部災後復原需求，政戰局福利事業管理處已將204箱飲水送抵防區，提供救災官兵使用。
國防部進一步指出，國軍持續投入「莫蘭蒂」風災復原工作，自13日迄今，各作戰區共派遣兵力2萬8,337人次、車輛機具5類1,532輛(部)次，協助執行民眾撤離(返鄉)2,403人、沙包堆置1萬7,724包、土石清理382噸、機關學校284處、道路清理1454公里、路樹清理1萬3,477棵及環境消毒2萬4,600平方公尺。明日金防部及第四作戰區預劃派遣兵力計3,494員、輪車5類138部，持續執行災後復原工作。
